Congress has helped food as a relief to the victims of the landslide of Likhupike Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 Nepali Congress youth leader Suraj Basnet informed that 24 families were distributed relief at the rate of 25 kg rice, 1 packets of salt, 1 liters of oil and 2 kg of chiura.

Basnet clarified that the chairman of Nepali Congress Province (B) Karma Sherpa’s cash was provided with 25 thousand and the rest at my own expense. Basnet assumed that it was his responsibility to provide help to the people who are suffering from landslide and to fulfill it. Congress president of Ward No. 4 Durga Bahadur Basnet also demanded immediate relief to the people in distress. The Ward Office has also said that they have distributed relief before and other assistance. Due to heavy rainfall, many places across the municipality have seen flooding and landslide risk this year. It is not possible to say that the Sindhupalchowk incident will not be repeated if the concerned body does not pay attention on time.
