Parsa, Aug 31: Parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress in the National Assembly, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, has said the new generation must be reminded on the importance of democratic struggles of the past which carry much significance.
Addressing a dialogue organized by NC’s Supply and Consumer Department on ‘guarantee of daily essentials and consumers’ concern’ here Sunday, leader Sitaula stressed the need of making the historic past known to the present generation.
“Every country needs to share the history and stories of struggles waged over time to other countries as all. Nepal can also tell external communities about our democratic movements,” he added, giving example of China, that it was gathering government chiefs from many countries and telling its past.
Moreover, leader Sitaula argued history is the foundation upon which the present it built, so it is essential for the NC to teach youngster on its past struggles fought for democracy.
