San Francisco, CA – On March 8, 2025, the vibrant city of San Francisco played host to a spectacular celebration of International Women’s Day. Organized by the Sagarmatha Entertainment team, the event featured the electrifying performances of Ashra KUNWAR and legendary Nepali singer Adrian Pradhan.
Ashra KUNWAR, a PhD researcher and student at the University of Florida, captivated the audience with her soulful renditions of original songs like “Itihaas times mero,” “Bodhi brikshya,” “Aabash,” and “Fearless.” She also delighted fans with popular covers from her Voice of Nepal days, including her unique take on “adhuro Prem” and a mesmerizing performance of “Whole Lotta Love.”
The event drew a diverse crowd, with a significant turnout from the Bay Area’s Nepali community. Attendees traveled from various cities across the country to witness the powerful performance of Ashra and Adrian Pradhan. The legendary singer, celebrating 30 years of his remarkable journey with the band 1974 AD, brought his signature energy to the stage, creating an unforgettable experience for all that night as always.
The concert, hosted by Shula, was a celebration of music, unity, and women’s empowerment. Ashra’s dual role as an environmental scientist and artist has inspired many, showcasing her ability to balance her passion for activism with her love for music.
